Trip Itinerary

Good news - we have our schedule for the trip! The link to the entire itinerary is at the bottom of this post.

We leave in the afternoon on Monday, May 19, and will arrive in Kampala hopefully before 11pm on Tuesday, May 20. There is going to be a lot of traveling during the course of the trip, be it by plane or automobile, but that should give our group plenty of time to rest, reflect, and prepare.

We start the very next day, the 21st, and spend the first part of our mission working with Global Hands of Hope, a "community development organization committed to community transformation through child protection and support; community education; community health; and food security" (GHH Facebook page). During the second half of the trip, we transition to God Cares Orphanage, an organization that provides religious, social, and educational support for children in Uganda.

During our stay, we will also get the chance to see just how beautiful the African landscape is with a tour on the Nile, a safari, and a visit to Murchison Falls. We will be sure to take plenty of pictures!

Now, while the overall schedule may be set, the actual day-to-day activities will likely be much more flexible. We may end up spending an entire day at GHH talking with people about business and adjust the day's schedule accordingly. However, that's part of this trip's beauty. We will follow wherever God wants to take us and represent Him, Baylor, and ourselves in all that we do. Not only that, it should be a nice escape from the predetermined and rigid lifestyle in the US.

Please, follow along our journey and experience it through us. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and want to thank everyone who helped make it a possibility. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
